I’m under 18 and all the banks say that you have to be 18 in order to obtain a debit/credit/checking card. I tried to apply for a card and it clearly says you have to be 18 so how do you get one if you are under 18? Please be honest.

Ask the banks what products they do offer for minors. You can’t legally sign the papers on your own but there are various types of joint accounts that a parent can set up with you.
The reason banks will tell you that it’s because as a minor you can’t legally sign a legal document: a check. You can only get a savings acct. for now. The only suggestion i can give you is, if your parents trust you & if you are trustworthy, then they can get you an additional debit card from their ckg. acct. But anything you use will come out of that acct. They can open a separate acct. under their name for you & give you that card. But of course, sometimes you will get asked for ID & you could say it’s your parents card & they might let you go. Good luck.
